What is your connection to the Latrobe Valley? Do you live, work or play here?
I have lived and worked in the Latrobe Valley for 35 years. I am a VCE/VET teacher at the University Campus Kurnai College in Churchill, the President of the Traralgon South and District Association and have volunteered on many different community committees over the years.
What inspires you to work with the Latrobe Health Assembly?
I am inspired to work with the Latrobe Health Assembly because I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of our community. I like to think innovatively about the ways that we can support our community.
What brings you joy outside of work hours?
My family and friends bring me joy outside of work hours. I like to be active by walking, swimming, cycling and spending time at the beach.
Where is your favourite place to visit in the Latrobe Valley?
My favourite place to visit in the Latrobe Valley is probably the bush around Traralgon South. It is peaceful and provides an opportunity to connect with nature.
What gives you hope for the future of health and wellbeing in Latrobe Valley?
I have hope for a positive future of health and wellbeing in the Latrobe Valley because working with the members of the Latrobe Health Assembly I am surrounded by other passionate people who continue to give of their time and energy. They are determined to make a positive difference in this space. We have also developed positive relationships with the key health organisations and working together we can help to support our community.
